Error report for Realbot WIP 3062
I have been playing with these bots for a few days now and have found a couple of errors. (I thought i'd post this even though i'm not sure if anyone is still working on it anymore). The bots don't seem to 'learn' if they can't get to a place they are ment to be going to. example. on cs_assault I climbed the ladder that leads to the roof (not the one on the red box) and must of came off sideways slightly, but when the bot tried to do it, it kept falling off the ladder once it reached the top and dying. I tryed climbing the ladder straightly to try and get the bot to 'rethink' but in the end I had to delete all experience for the level and start again.
Another error is that the bots reload right in front of the enemy and as a result die instantly. Also once the bot has fired all its rounds out of its gun (i tested this using the shield) it will not switch to secondary weapon, allowing me to run up and knife it. Please post if anyone is working on this so I know I'm not wasting my time. I can just go back to PODbot if this isn't being updated |

development is nearly non-zero to this bot. The problem you describe is know, it happens, and sometimes it does not happen. Basicly i think a total rewrite of the entire navigational system would help. I'd even want to go back to fixed waypoints to ensure same results on all computers. The learning capability by bots went pretty good, especially compared to what i had expected. But in the end i'd say it will not be sufficient for ultimate game play.
