Play LAN over Internet
 

Yes now is posible with the program hamachi. This program is free.
http://www.hamachi.cc/

Just install the program and make a server in to the program. Then tell to a friend to join in the server after that make LAN game server. Your friend will see the server in the LAN tab of the game that you want to play.
While you play the program must be active. If you don't understand somethink just write here and I will help. ;)

But don't forget to configurate your firewall.

That would be an excellent way to bypass programs that are crippled with something like GameSpy. I have no use right now, but I'll probably end up thanking you later for the link.

cant problably use it.. firewall..yes.. but im Internet provider have some weird system not alowing many kind of activeties.. setting up a server doesnt work.. p2p works as long as you can be passive..

intresting though..

NP man :). Actually the program installs new network driver that simulate LAN. When the program running you actually will have two IP adresses. One for the hamachi network and one for the real internet. If you want we can choose a hour and play on some game :).

it's an IP tunnel, right? Any IP tunneling program would work, I suppose. Nice idea, though

Yes maybe it is something like IP tunnel(I don't know). Do you know other programs like this one ? I think that hamachi is the one program that can make that.

sounds great, but i can't use it due sharing interent. My IP is actually a lan ip already. It would mean i have to configure the router and my dad will kill me if i try to change its settings..

If your ISP is LAN then there is no problem. But if you use a router something like that you will not be able to use the program :(. But if you put the internet cable directly in to the computer there will not be a problem and your father will not kill you. :)

Oh I forgot to say that if you use the program you can share you computer's HDD and the other people that use the program and will be able to donwload direcly from your computer.
