cs 1.5 and epb 4a

hello!
despite 1.6 I am playing with 1.5 and epb version IIIa.
yesterday I installed 4a but it does not work.
when starting a game an Windows error message appears and the game crashes. but IIIa works fine so where is the problem?

now it works!
i only installed the new dll, now i installed all files.
what is the big different between IIIa and IVa ???
