CS 1.6 Bots without waypoints.

I am using podbot_mm for CS 1.6. This working great but I cant add bots in those maps for which i dont have its waypoint file. So I wanna know is there any bot system that not required such kind of files.

There is the official Condition Zero bot, which uses directly the map data file to know about the walkable surfaces, but you must own Condition Zero to play it.

Other than that, there is RealBot WIP which auto-waypoints the map. It lets the player run around alone in the map for the first five minutes, and keeps track of his moves to build waypoint files.

My own bot which is not released yet uses a combination of both systems. But it's still far from being released, especially at the pace I am making it (I would need at least 2 hours of free time a day to make something productive, and I haven't them). Though I made some progress with their navigation last week.

So, PM...
what is keeping you so busy?

Obviously everyone asking him when will it be ready, I mean if we stop asking maybe he wouldn't feel the need to post and could start working on it. Or we all have a stereotypical view of bot coders being holed up in a room with no real life.
LOL

I didn't say anything about the bot or when it would be ready.
I simply asked PM what has been keeping him so busy.

I havn't dropped in here for a while since I have been totally swamped with running my company and I havn't talked to PM in while and was simply using the oppotunity to say hello.

What I do is almost totally connected to software development.
Setting up the hardware and software to run fairly serious custom web applications for businesses.

You run a company, may I ask what does the company do/sell?
Thats pretty cool.

OK, well... quite a lot of things. :)

In no particular order:
I must finish a somewhat big piece of software for my former employer (a firm that makes wooden doors & windows) and then see with him what structure we could set up together to commercialize the thing. It's a sort of keys-in-hand CAD software for the firms who want to buy a digital-command machine but cannot afford to hire 2 or 3 people to program it everyday.
I must create a sort-of kludgey Windows driver to drive MIDI data over the network (that's another, completely different project). I figured out it was not that simple and I'm biting the bullet with the Windows DDK right now.
I'm also hacking around a scientific application that modelizes the birth and evolution of galaxies in 3D given a lot of initial parameters (involves matter & anti-matter). I have multithreaded it, I must port it to OpenGL and after that I'll have to turn it into a distributed computing application (kind of Seti@Home).
I must set up and repair small networks by various peoples and little firms in the neighbourhood.
I must not forget to post bullshit on the Bots United forums :D
I must feed the wiki.
I must code my bot.

Not counting eating, sleeping and hanging around with friends sometimes on weekends. I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day :)

Hey PM sounds like some interesting projects there.

I always felt that if I didn't have to seelp I would have about the right amount of time for everything...

I reckon that if we never slept, our lifetime would probably be more than halfed, probably breaking down because of mental depression and lack of dreams...
