request from a waypoint site

Hi all, I've just received this PM from a guy who runs a waypoints site. He would like to set up a sort of "webring" between bot sites. He asks us if we are interested:

Introductions are done, let's get down to business.

I just opened a new website, currently supporting bot waypoints for NS (WhichBot & RCbot), TFC (FoxBot) and ETF (Omni-Bot). I was hoping that we could do some "business" together. You seem to be the one to talk to about affiliation.

I'm trying to set up a webring, referral site for which to provide links to other supporting sites for bots, files and waypoints alike.

I was wondering if I could add bots-united and be added as part of a supplier of waypoints and other files for the gaming community.

Website is www.waypoint-world.com. By all means, visit it, and let me know if there is a possible "alliance" between our 2 communities.

Thanks.

What do you think ?

My opinion is that it's easily doable, although I wonder if it would not be wiser to have the waypoint community unite in one big site/database, instead of a webring of several sites scattered around the web. But I'll let the waypoints-united guys give their opinion...

Spiffy page, eh? :) Looks nice...

Well, I certainly wouldn't mind having at least WU being part of a waypointed-orientated webring. Maybe some people will find WU and BU this way, and I as a waypointer only have one interest anyway: To make my stuff available to the public and enable people to enjoy it... ;)

Considering his offer to be set up in a sort of 'webring' (aka link exchange) i think this is a 'no problemo' case.

Heyyo,

Sounds like a done deal. I've been starting some chat's with a person from the site n' I think I'd be a great idea. This's pretty much why I started that thread "sites for waypoints" to help people get what they want without the hassle of seaching on google n' such (yes, google's our friend, but sometimes just like real friends, google can be a bastard, lol).

Wasn't this the idea of Bot Epidemic before? and even hea, bots-united. To make it easier to get our work out to the public. So in all ways I vote yes. Webring's are great. :D

So... the answer seems to be hinting to a yes.

I took the liberty of adding Bots-United in the links on Waypoint-World, now if one of the members would be so kind to provide a 90*30 image that I could use for an icon referencing the link, it would greatly be appreciated.

Cheers!

Well, we have this http://realbot.bots-united.com/images/bu_button.gif but for the artwork, we don't have no artist here so that's the only one we've got :|

I'll add a link to waypoint-world on the main page of the forum :)
Get in touch with the guys who run waypoints-united, I believe uniting these two databases somehow would be a plus for everyone.

Sounds good PMB, thanks a lot.

Will most likely get in touch with W-U sometime this weekend, really busy this week.

That icon will do nicely, as I don't know if you've gone to WW to look at the others, but they're quite plain, just red text, with some blur...

Will keep in touch..
