Console feedback during pvi load
This is a tiny detail, but easy to implement. Here's the story:
One of my friends asked me about that PVI loading stuff. He saw those console messages where it says somthing like: Quote:
Depending on how big the steps are, the last entry will be 92%, 94%, 95% etc. Now my friend was wondering if the pvi had been rebuilt comnpletely when it never seemed to reach 100%. So I figured it might be a good idea to add a final line: Quote:

Re: Console feedback during pvi load
that is a good idea, cause the message is sent every secodnd, thus if the 100% is not in the specified monet you never get 100% printed
but only printed, it gets calculated properly also would be nice to show some info to any clients in multiplayer game , in example in print_chat area |
Re: Console feedback during pvi load
I don't doubt that it's calculated correctly and completely. But for people who are not so familiar with all this stuff, doubts may arise from this lack of a completion notice.
Btw, thanks for resurrecting this thread! ;) You really dig deep into this forum, don't you? :D |
Re: Console feedback during pvi load
yeah i was wondering about this as well, but i was sure it works well, even if it doesn't display 100%. :)

Re: Console feedback during pvi load
No need to apologize; it's good that some things aren't forgotten.

Re: Console feedback during pvi load
Yes, that would indeed be helpful. Tho I dont actually tend to put them on my server without building 45 mins of pxp and putting in the pvi file too, it would be handy to know when its actually complete.
