well first let me say hi and i never knew you could do this much stuff to counter strike. i've read alot of posts ran through the thought process of a few other posters trying to figure out why i can;t get podbot to work...before i even get to that i have a snag the ingame console won't come up i checked the config file and the toggle console is bound to"`" when i hit this in game nothing...i tried hitting"=" also nothing....i really have no idea what's going with a server i just log on to steam hit play counter strike and create server..then join game..so where ever that leaves me...server, lan, i don't know....i really want to get this bot working but i guess this comes first...right? i have windows 2000 and as far as which cs version i have i bought half life 2 and counter strike source came with it.....it says v1.6 so i guess that's it... but i heard people mention something about retail version is different...and that's what i have...i know i don;t make any sense....so you can see my problem... thanks chris

Go to Your ...\cstrike directory and look for the file config.cfg. Open it by notepad and try to find if there is the line:

bind "`" "console 1;toggleconsole"

If no - add it. Make sure also if there is the line:

console "1"

If there isn't this line add it or if there is:
console "0"
change this "0" to "1".

hi...ok that worked the console opened. thank you.....yeah i read that thread like 3 times........and a few other ones.. here's where i am now......i downloaded and installed the metamod file in the folders i created...i used your plugin.ini file and i checked my folder hierchy with yours....i might have a problem here though..you see i didn't have the liblist.gam file...so i installed that all in one installer posted on this site which copied that folder to the cstrike dir. but what i'm thinking is maybe liblist.gam(s) targeted files aren't there.. so i really am lost...any help would be great.....chris

Unknown command meta means You didn't install correctly metamod.
In Your liblist.gam file (in CSTRIKE directory) You should see this line:

gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
instead
gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
The latest one is the original line - You should comment it out (by writting # at begining of the line) or delete it.
But all of this I've described in that thread I've asked You. Don't have any idea what can I say more. :(

Sorry I can't help You because metamod and podbot aren't CS:Source and HL2 compatible. They are HL1 compatible. :(

Need more patience, man. The people here are working very hard on it, but they still need more tests and knowledge about HL2. Earlier or later - one bot will be ready for sure. You have to look at that thread sometimes and some other forums here (HL2) - to see some neews.
