PODBot for Steam CS 1.6 or MetaMod available?
 

Hello!

I've tried to install PODBot, which I got on the homepage (POD51INS.EXE), it tried to install to my "halflife"-folder ???:( , so I installed into a dummy folder and moved everything to my "steamapp\counter-strike\cstrike"-folder - added the "gamedll"-line with the PODBOT.DLL to my LIBLIST.GAM, set it Read-Only...

When I startet a New Game, it was loaded, but when I typed in console "addbot", CS got stuck and I got a XP-errormsg.o_O

What's the difference between PODBot and EPODBot?
Where can I get it from?
Does there exist a MetaMod-DLL?

isnt compatible with 1.6 yet. dont know if they will make it so but if they do i sure will use it ^^

Here is a metamod podbot 2.5 (win32)

save it to your podbot folder

I dunno who made it or where it came from, it works with steam (tho bots don't buy new weapons) and you need the normal podbot 2.5 installed, i assume for the configuration.

then just add this line to your metamod plugins.ini

win32 podbot/podbot_mm.dll

hm.. podbot works with steam is IVP

hpb_bot also works (w/o buying new weapons ..)

I get an error with the podbot_mm.dll.

I'm starting to play and then everthing freezes and an error message appears. It says that the error occured in the podbot_mm.dll module.

Anybody else tested this dll?

PMB has an updated version which sort of works, but I think the latest CS update has broken all the bots.

Well, anyway I got the error message. It won't help much (I think).

"HL caused an invalid page fault in module PODBOT_MM.DLL at 01a7:0ac6d19c"

you can use IvPBot with MetaMod/AdminMod using the +localinfo mm_gamedll switch in your CS command line shortcut

Yeah dude, only some of the PODbot MODDED versions work with CS v1.6 with steam, so, PODbot v2.5 and so? not compatible...

Here's a few names to look for:

IvPbot
Nicebot
Akimbot

Realbot
(I'm not a big fan of this one, cause it's more fake than real... even PODbot v2.5 acted more realistically, of course this is just my opinion. But when a bot stands still and does nothing while you blast it in the face with a shotty? lol, tha's fake. :P)

BTW, this is a E[POD]bot forum, so you should've gone to the PODbot forums over at forums.nukebox.com oh well, it's semi related since it's PODbot.
