Podbot-MM Error

hi

i recently installed cs16_v13.exe, which is an old version of cs 1.6 before valve messed around with new bad updates (awp delay and etc) and u can play it without steam.

i already had csdm + podbot-mm installed on my regular cs 1.6. so i copied my "addons" folder including the "liblist.gam" from regular cs to the new cs16_v13 folder. and when i join the server select weapon my cs crashes after 2 secs everytime.

giving me this error:

"Pathfinder danger factor is 800"

i un-installed csdm and it still crashes :(

how do i get podbot-mm to work properly so i wont get this error?

Re: Podbot-MM Error

Hmmm... I'm using CS16_v17 because I can't be bothered to install Steam, and I don't have any problem.

The danger factor is determined in the file "podbot.cfg", located in your cstrike\addons\podbot folder. There's a line "danger_factor 800" in there, at least in my cfg.

You could try lowering that value, although I'm not sure if that would help.

Anyway, why do you say "error message"? Does a window pop up saying that sentence, or is it just the last thing you can read in the console before CS crashes?

It just occurs to me that you might also try to comment out that command (so that it's deactivated and gets ignored) and then try to open a game. If it works, you can try to enter the command into the console (ought to be either "danger_factor nnn" or "pb danger_factor nnn" - never tried). If it crashes after entering, you know something with that command is wrong. If it only crashes when interpreted automatically during startup, you can find a workaround, and if it crashes anyway, you know that something else is wrong...

Can't think of anything more spontaneously and without further infos... as I said: Tell me exactly what you see on your screen, and don't forget to mention which versions of MM and Podbot you're running.... can't hurt to know that. ;)

Re: Podbot-MM Error

you need to use the latest version of CS 1.6...
older versions has problems with FL_FAKECLIENT flag
if you want to use the bot with old version of CS 1.6, you have to change all the "FL_FAKECLIENT" to "(1<<27)" in the source code and recompile.

"older" versions of CS 1.6 are leaked versions, i.e. warez. DO NOT use them, period.

Another thing is this - maybe for that version are some other weapons than these coded in podbot for CS1.6 - it might be a cause of crash, too. We don't support any unnoficial versions of CS. Use old CS1.5 or CS1.6 Steam or CZERO Steam.

Or cs16full_v17... :D

And no, no different weapons in cs16full_v13, or at least I really can't imagine why there would be any, since it's basically CS 1.6, only without Steam.
