hlds 4.1.1.1 doesn't startup when podbot_mm called from plugin.ini
 

Can anybody tell me why this happens??
I've tried almost evey scenario, but when i activate the podbot_mm entry it doesn't start up...

metamod is 1.17
podbot_mm.dll .44 and .45
clanmod
statsme
webmod
_____
when i load it manually from server console it shows me in meta list:
[ 5] POD-Bot mm open load podbot_mm.dll vR2b45 cmd Chlvl ANY

and doesn't react on pb command....

Does "I tried almost every scenario" mean that you also tried loading PODBot MM as the only plugin? Just to make sure...

yeah.... no startup...
and when i try changelevel... it crashes...(podbot_mm should runthen, when i load manually)

when metamod says LOAD i tried to unload and force_unload, but it failed....

Check the date creation of the file (to make sure it's latest build) of podbot mm and write it here. Use newer version of metamod - 1.17.2 or 1.17.3. StatsMe - for CS1.5 the latest one correct working it was 2.8.0 beta 7 (don't use any newer).

hmmm okay I tried all the advises you gave....

I corrected the the Version to
metamod 1.17.3
podbot_mm .45 29.11.2004
disabled all other dlls...

but nothing....
I also tried .44 and .43 but resulted in same...

when I load the mm manually it says:

Loaded plugin 'POD-Bot mm', but will wait to become active, at changelevel
Currently loaded plugins:

but when I do changelevel it hung up... and closes quitely(no messages no error)...
very strange...

edit:
i`ve looked into poderror.lod and found several times

Podbot couldn't determine MOD directory name!

The file was last written 061204(today's morning)
looks evident to me??? Doesn't????

OKAY Stop all Brainbraking......
The fault I made was following the instructions of pbmmdocs b3
It told me to create "cstrike\addons\podbot"
So I moved the whole pod thing there and called it from there....
But as written in poderror.log then the dll can't find the mod directory....

So problem solved......

Let me specify the Problem.....
Now i've found out that it wasn't a podbot_mm.dll problem...
The only problem was, that I used cfg files from podbot2.5 and this makes podbot crash....
first it told me no waypoints for this map... so I moved wptfolder from cstrike/podbot to cstrike/addons/podbot
then he wanted the botnames.txt then i copied all cfg and txt files....
and the problem reappeared again...
So I updated to 2.6 files and it works....

That's a new one indeed. :D

So, to sum it up, you basically just took the latest podbot dll and moved it into a PB 2.5 installation, or did I get that wrong?

right and the cfg files don't let it run the podbot_mm.dll
(in other words: the podbot_mm crashes with old configs...)

Because there wasn't any bug in podbot mm, I'm moving this thread to "Common Questions".
I guess we should add something to "Read before posting" about "don't use old podbot2.5 cfg's and directories - for podbot mm it's a bit different".
