Generic C/C++ programming forum?

Is there enough interest in posting problems/solutions/questions relating to programming in general for us to have a forum for it? I was thinking that the old botman forum had one like this and it seemed to get filled up OK.

i'd say its fine with me, since also general C/C++ questions will raise when coding for specific platforms/games/bots/mods/meta's, etc.

I agree too, we definitely need one, but hey it will make a lot of forums isn't it ?

I think we should regroup more of the legacy stuff. The server loader and the plugins forum, for example...

I agree there should be some grouping done. The server loader however is an odd ball. It is not a plugin, and it has nothing at all to do with metamod or half-life either. The best category may be under the forum for running dedicated bot servers, because its primary use is as a utility that will automatically restart a dead server.

BTW I noticed that Rob's server status thingy has not been generalized as we had decided on some time ago. Has Rob enough permissions to make the change, or does someone else have to do it?

I thought he wanted just to change the forum subtitle, which was formerly "the best PHP server status thingy"... but I may have misunderstood ???:( He'll have to tell me what title and subtitle he wants for his forum, so that I can change it.
