Can't login to filebase
 

Yup... back to my favourite topic again. :(

After the server went back to full functionality, I had planned to move all my stuff to the filebase... however, I couldn't login there. I always got the error message "Wrong user name or password". I used exactly the same name/password combo as on the forums, and for the forums, the login works.

I tried five or six times with both admin login and member login. Cleared my cookies, reloaded the BU page, manually logged into the forums (perfect), tried filebase login, "wrong username/password" again.

Can one person alone be so stupid, or is it some technical problem? (Kindly refrain from answering the first part of the question, please! :D I know your answer anyway...:P) Or did I just miss something?

Works fine for me too...

Are your cookies enabled ? They must be, if you want the filebase login to work.

If they are, check if you haven't got some sort of firewall that could block them.

Great.. so it hates me, and everybody can use it 'cept for me. Hrmph.

I don't have a firewall running, 'cept for the hardware firewall in my router... but if that firewall blocked something, I wouldn't be able to login to the forums, either, would I? Besides, even the "remember me" feature works perfectly, i.e. I get logged in automatically @ each visit. It's only the filebase...

As an additional measure, I just told my Firefox to explicitly allow all cookies from www.bots-united.com, forums.bots-united.com and filebase.bots-united.com... nothing.

Man, I could-

Utterly curious.
Did it work for you some time in the past ?
Or has it never worked ?

Are you trying the admin login or the member login ? or both ?
if you register a new account at bots united, does it let you in (with the member login) or still not ?

I remember a time when it worked... on the old server. First I had problems, but Onno told me to clear my cookies and retry, and that did the trick. Now, however... I tried both logins, btw.

I'm gonna test with a new user account, but it would be good if that account could be deleted after the "experiment". We don't want hundreds of dead user accounts like "testaccount" "test-001" or "filebase-test" here, now, do we? ;)

give one pass and name to someone that it works for.. just to know if its about your comp or something..
