PODBot 2.6 Source

Howdy all,

I've re-downloaded the old PODBot Source Code, from...I think it's Count Floyds old website. Anyway, I've compiled it, and play it on the good old Counter-Strike 1.5. After a short while, it seems to freeze up the game. I can't seem to find in the source, where this error occurs. Anyone had a similar problem? So far, its mostly been just before a bot has killed me (in the second round).

Thanks in advance,

Phreak

Ouch, the old PB2.6 source code has many many bugs... we have much better versions here at Bots United, you might be interested in checking either the YaPB source code (PB2.6 source code ported to C++) or the PB2.6mm source code (PB2.6 source code as a metamod plugin). All of these are improved and somewhat bugfixed versions of the old podbot that run perfectly on CS 1.6.

Re: PODBot 2.6 Source

Thanks Pierre, but I'm kinda hoping for a 1.5 version (I have steam, and Condition Zero, but I want to play over LAN, and my step brother won't go out and buy Condition Zero). So my only option for LAN at the moment is CS 1.5. Is the YapB Bot pretty much the same? I want something that either looks like its PodBot, or if someone can just help me with the freezing problem, that would be nice :)

Yep, these bots also work with 1.5 :)

And they look pretty much like POD-bot, especially YaPB.
You can give them a go, it's 100% safe :)

Thanks Pierre :)

Can't believe your still around since years ago. Are the Botman forums still archived?

Yep they are, but they aren't very readable...
You can browse the files like in a FTP service, in fact...

Is there something special you're looking for ?

Re: PODBot 2.6 Source

Yes, that, thanks botman :)

I wasn't really looking for anything particular, just wanting to read through a couple of the old posts to get an idea.

Been a while since I've used the SDK.

Thanks again :)
