CS 1.6 shuts down after installing RealBot
 

Hey,

Yeh my CS just shuts down once installing realbot, i dont know why cuz i used 2 have it working and one day i just tried 2 play it from like after a month of not playing and as it was loading into the game everything seems 2 be fine. but then the game shuts down and returns to the computer screen normally with steam running - but CS has been shut down completely. I try the same thing over and over again - Why does it keep shutting down? Maybe I have stuffed the installation up somehow with this new "WHIP" version that I downloaded just before... i duno with AV 1.0 it worked fine but that was ages ago. Anyone know y it shuts down like this???

(RealBot is very complicated by the way - i dont see how to many amature computer ppl like myself can breeze thru getting it done... must create a .exe file that does everything for u - only then will this be truly brillaint mod)

ummm i dont understand wot to do sorry after reading the other thread... something to do with the user config? where the hell is that? and where is the liblist.gam file i think i've lost it!

liblist.gam resides here:
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Half-Life\cstrike

It could be several different errors but this one is the most likely.

In your counter-strike or cstrike directory you should have a liblist.gam, have a look with notepad to check if the line:
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" is there.
If it is then change it to:
gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
save the liblist.gam and start a new cs1.6 game. Once in the game choose team and stuff and once you are able to run around shut down cs1.6 and change the liblist.gam back to:
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

This has to be done every? time steam is updated.

If this doesn't help we'll try some other correction :D
(It would be nice if you told us how you installed it, what dirs and what files you downloaded and so on....)
