I do not like the new icons for the forum. Can someone change them back?

Oh and a suggestion, can you use this for locked threads?

Re: new icons

I posted some replacement images in another thread... These are nice, but the difference between them is so subtle I can barely see it without leaning into my screen.

Re: new icons

this animated icon for locked threads is too large... and I don't think putting an animated icon for this purpose is a good idea at all. Usually what animated icons do is to draw people's attention, which is exactly the contrary we want for locked threads 9_9

I'm not very fond either of the new icons... but since I aint the boss... :)

Re: new icons

I did them up because I figured we need some way to distinguish one icon from another aside from 3 stray pixels, and my first thought was to make the non-attention-grabbing ones a bit less attention-grabbing.

Re: new icons

personally I find http://forums.bots-united.com/images...n/post_new.gif less attracting than http://forums.bots-united.com/images...n/post_old.gif
and yea a lot of these icons are hard to distinguish without squinting..
you're trying to make us wear glasses!!!!

Re: new icons

Too late - I'm already wearing glasses. :D But believe me, they don't make it easier to distinguish those tiny icons... They could really be 4 or 5 pixels higher & wider. (The icons, not the glasses!!)
Concerning the new verisons posted by dstruct2k: The new "locked" icon has far too little contrast; it's almost impossible to tell apart from the "no new" icon. The original is better because you can see the "x" through it.
And I agree with PMB on that dancing lock icon - it's great for a laugh, but a lock should really look a tad forbidding and not inviting...
...so much for my $ 0.02...

Re: new icons

the size doesnt matter to me.. (atleast when it comes to icons ;))
but they are not clear enough
http://forums.bots-united.com/images.../forum_new.gif http://forums.bots-united.com/images.../forum_old.gif
i dont wanne look at them.. i mean really look at them to see if its new or old..
the whole "new" image could be lighter..

Re: new icons

Can we at least swap the blue and white paper icons? White seems better for new posts.
