New adminmod plugin
 

After failing to find a plugin which worked for me, a few weeks ago I programmed a plugin which allows basic control of PODBot 2.6mm from adminmod. It has been running smoothly on my server ever since.

Beyond the basic commands, the plugin includes an "AutoKill" feature, which automatically slays the bots when all humans have been killed. You can download the ZIP file here:

It includes an extensive Readme, a compiled AMX file, and lightly commented source code (SMA file).

HYTE sounds very familiar. Did you have a server with bots and low gravity?

Yes. Very good memory! :) I believe you played with us at least once, long ago.

Edit: I recently converted our server to 1.6 and kept the low grav. But PLBot stopped working, so I decided to try PODBot. It lacked a menu for my admins to use, so I made the above plugin. But the console commands don't seem to be working quite right for me (for example, "pb fillserver 1" doesn't only fill the Ts, and "pb addbot 100 1" doesn't only add to Ts). So I may try another bot mod to see if I can get it working any better. If I do, I'll modify the plugin and post it in these forums if it proves stable.

I remenber because the server was fun to play on and you had some very skilled players on it. I would of played more but my ping was not very good. I will drop by again for sure :)

BTW, did you check out the mEAn mod? (sorry but there's no fancy menu)

We'd love to have you! As I recall, you're a pretty good player yourself, and both courteous and fun to play with. People have said their pings improved since we installed 1.6, so there may be hope. =)

I looked at it, but hesitated to install yet another full-featured admin system. I already have adminmod and clanmod, and some of my admins are bugging me to add AMX. I was afraid things would get unstable if I over-did it. o_O

You can, because both AdminMod and POD-bot 2.6mm are metamod plugins. Hence all you have to do is to put one line in your plugins.ini file for AdminMod, and another line for POD-bot.

The PODbot you've tried must be the old POD-bot 2.5, which was NOT a metamod plugin but a standalone DLL (although there is still a way to get the old POD-bot 2.5 and metamod to work together, but it's a bit of a trick and complicated for beginners).

BTW POD-bot 2.6mm has evolved a lot since POD-bot 2.5, I recommend you to try it asap :)
