realbot error when adding bots
when i try to run a game of cs 1.5 retail (retail 1.0.0.0), I get the error message "SZ_GetSpace: Tried to write to an uninitialized sizebuf_t" when I try to create a bot manually, or when a bot tries to join on internet simulation mode. The game then soft-crashes. I have realbot wip 9 with metamod. Any suggestions?

Re: realbot error when adding bots
have you tried updating to wip10 or use the old RB 1.0 to see if you still have the problem ?

Re: realbot error when adding bots
Both. WIP 10 throws the same error, 1.0 has a metamod and a normal one, the metamod throws that error and the normal one crashes without an error (?)
I have the original CS retail (1.0.0.0 retail, i dunno what that is equivalant to mod-wise). Since I have this problem with multiple bots, is it possible that the bots are based off of a framework that is newer than my CS? If so, is there a place I can upgrade my CS retail to whatever I need? I have looked for upgrades but all I have found are 121-meg "full install" downloads and a 1.4 to 1.5 patch for the mod version. Thanks in advance. |

An interesting note -- Whistler, your YAPB works fine... odd

Re: realbot error when adding bots
Have you tried the "Sierra Utilities" wich was installed with cs? If they were not installed try this site:
http://www.sierra.com/file_list.do?gamePlatformId=34 Download the updater or the retail... Hope this helpes |
Re: realbot error when adding bots
Upgrade to CS 1.1 or later will solve your problem
It's because of g_engfuncs.pfnClientCommand(), CS 1.0 just stupidly remove the FL_FAKECLIENT flag for the bots in ClientPutInServer() and call pfnClientCommand() which causes this error. |
