Shrikebot doesn't work on my Windows Dedicated Server
 

I installed Shrikebot 2.01 and applied the 2.04 patch over it into my Windows Dedicated Server. I currently have Adminmod and metamod on my server running. I made a config.ini and pointed the gamedll to shrikebot.dll. Shrikebot loads on my server, but when I try to add bots, it doesn't do it.

What mod are you trying to use shrikebot with ??

Shrikebot is only for Day of Defeat and Tour of Duty.

here do this

bring your games menu up

right click on day of defeat

select Create Desktop Shortcut

on your desktop click on your dod shortcut

select properties

in the target line after the -app 30 add

-dll dlls\shrikebot.dll

so it will look like

"C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 30 -dll dlls\shrikebot.dll

or

"C:\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 30 -dll dlls\shrikebot.dll

apply then ok

now go to your dod folder inside steam and delete your liblist.gam file (may be called just liblist)

dont worry steam will recreate the liblist when you start dod up, setting it back to default.

now your game to play on your own windows dedicated server.

or to keep your admin mod do this next step.

get metamod 1.17 or higher

open your metamod folder

make a file called

config.ini

add this line to that

gamedll dlls/shrikebot.dll

they should now work,

I have that metamod setup with the config.ini already. It loads but I can't add bots.

What command do you use ???

When issuing commands from the rcon (dedicated-server) console one has to add the shr prefix for every command.

So addbot 1 2 2 name on a listen-server console
would be shr "addbot 1 2 2 name" on the dedicated-server console.

Oh I didn't know about that shr prefix. I'll test it out right now. I think you should make the shr prefix thing easier to find.
