server-crash on addbot
it seems like the bots do not like my system :-/
well my new problem is a crashing server, the system-details are as posted here, but statsme was downgraded to 2.7.1 i have tested it several times and it looks like the reproducable scenario is the following: when two or more bots have left the server and you add one or more bots without having had (is this correct english ???:( ) a map change, the server crashes with a segfault. this happens for example, when some players join and though some bots leave (btw: can this be supressed?) and you want to fill the server with bots again, because you want to play humans vs. bots. <edit>it happens, when i add bots via "joebot addbot ..." and via "joebot fillserver"</edit> |

the server is running for quite some time now and it seems, that the reproducing-scenario is not that simple. sometimes everything works just fine, sometimes the server crashes on addbot.
i hope there is someone investigating in this, who has some knowledge of the code. i would search myself, but i do not have time to dig into and understand the code. |

I've had similar problems when running with a number of metamod plugins. There are instances where some plugins are not coded to be "bot-aware" or "bot-friendly."
I would suggest running just the joebot plugin for a while to see that it's stable. Then add your plugins one by one until the problem appears again to isolate the plugin that's causing the problem. |
