Bad pointer fix caused more probz

i was haveing crashes untill i got the latest .dll
the server dosen't crash anymore but now the bots are no fun
with bot skill set to 100 thay do nothing:(
thay are useing burst fire and still can't kill (can i turn burst fire off)
if thay do kill a player it always a headshot
8 out of 10 times i am able to knife them
after i chase them around the map a few time thay run from other team and camp
to bots will sit and look at each other for 10 sec then run with out fireing a shot :'(

i was also noticing many times that bots were right up on each other and shooting off into wierd directions and not actually killing each other........they would even sometimes run right past each other...both running backwards....and not shoot at all.

could it be that we OVERcode this bot?

I don't know. But I know two things for sure:
1) What you observed is correct; I've seen the same.
2) If you put the botaim plugin back into action, the bots are pretty good again! All it needs is the parameter "bot_aim_fix 0".

This, however, brings up a question: Isn't the code of the botaim plugin supposed to have been integrated in the bot code, or did I miss something?
Without it, the bots are worse shots than me when I'm drunk beyond all limits, so the aiming code really needs some improvement.
Meanwhile, I suggest you guys use the botaim plugin to get more challenging bots... ;)

uh....
botaim plugin makes bots easier...
they take forever to get on target...
sometimes the bullets coming from their gun is way UNDER the crosshair..
it's like they're playing with a sensitivity set at 0.01

Re: Bad pointer fix caused more probz

All of my friends noticed that bots would not shoot at each other, that enemy bots would run into each other without fighting, that two enemy bots could camp facing each other for 10 seconds without doing anything and so forth.
With the botaim plugin included, they look into the direction of their enemies, aim at them and shoot them. They are much better that way! So at least among each other, they behave a lot better.
Against humans, however, I don't know. I think they spot you easier, but maybe shoot a bit worse, dunno... ???:(

What the version are Your friends using? Sorry if I'm asking everytimes the same, but there were many betas with many changes also in AIM code, so it's better when the people can write exactly what the version they use. ;)
