How to make a debug.log file
Sometimes if games crashes permanently, to help coders in bug finding by him in code it's good if we can create a debug.log. There should be the sufficient info for coders where the problem exactly is. But not everybody knows this is possible to help coders in this way. Me - I know this - this is possible, but I don't know exactly how should I do this. Here is my command line for DS:
E:\GAMES\Cs\hlds.exe -noipx -nomaster -console 1 -game cstrike -debug +maxplayers 16 +sv_lan 1 +map de_dust2 Tell me - what is missing in this line to create this debug.log file? Where exactly I should find this file? What other software (maybe some Sierra-Utilities) need I use (have) to create this file? What other options are needed? For this moment I can't create this debug.log file. I have in my server.cfg file this line, too: log on The problem I have with CS1.5 HL1.1.1.0 under Win98SE. |
Re: How to make a debug.log file
debug.log is only a feature of linux hlds...
but it's stupid.. all it does is tell you that hlds crashed and for you to email valve which you should not do unless you are sure that it's they're software that has crashed.. |
