"Bad Load" w/ Metamod & EPB
 

Metamod tells me "bad load" for epb.dll when I run meta list. I"ve tried moving the EPB install into my addons folder and fixing the plugins.ini for meta but it still tells me bad load. I've also tried the metamodx, 1.17, & 1.17 modified for PODbot. You guys got any ideas.

Your prob is that you're loading it the wrong way, E[POD]bot isin't a metamod plugin, so you'll need to do it by your CS exectuable shorcut. just add this in your target line: +localinfo mm_gamedll epodbot/epb.dll

so for example, the default retail one looks like this:
"C:\Sierra\Counter-Strike\Cstrike.exe" +localinfo mm_gamedll epodbot/epb.dll

While the default MOD one looks like this:
"C:\Sierra\Half-Life\HL.exe" -game cstrike +localinfo mm_gamedll epodbot/epb.dll

Well, I think it's something like that for the MOD version, correct me if I'm wrong people. :P

Well now that I understand that I have the problem of not being able to load the bots and metamod at the same time. I can only load one of the other. I can load bots from the shortcut, but metamod doesn't load from the liblist.gam. I can switch them around then only metamod loads. Lemme mess around with the metamod config.ini somemore. I forget why I quit working on it.

Uhh, yeah, you can load both metamod and E[POD]bot.

Have the liblist.gam setup for metamod, and then run your CS shortcut that has that +localinfo mm_gamedll epodbot/epb.dll stuff that I told you to add to your shortcut. And there ya go, both metamod, and the bot. :)

It doesn't need to be metamod compatible to work... all that needs to happen is add it to the shortcut.

If you want one you just load in metamod, get PODbot v2.6mm R2.1... it's easy to setup, as they say, just rtfm. :P

Already run Realbot and PM's PODbot 2.6mm already. Almost seems like the realbots are haxors.:P

I'm curious to know what was done to the original PODbot dll to make it a metamod plugin. same for Realbot.

Cool, I've actually always had probs with realbot, for me they tend to stand still as I run up to them n' knife em'... but sometimes they snap out of their little colma n' gun me. :P

I know that PODbot v2.6mm has released sourcecodes, get those n' open em' up, n' you can see exactly how they made it into a metamod plugin. T(PM did that when he created R1.1 ;)).
