CS Crashes
 

I don't know if this has to do with IvPBot or anything but now when i start a new server CS Crashes. EVERYTIME. I click start then it drops to the desktop and quits itself, and i have to start CS ALL over again.... PLEASE help!:'(

Since CS updated, you need to change the DLL in the liblist.gam file back to dlls\mp.dll then start a server. Exit the server, and change the DLL back to the IvPBot one.

1. Find the liblist.gam file in Your CSTRIKE directory
2. If this file is marked as "read-only" - unmark this.
3. Open this file by notepad (or another simple editor like ultraedit..etc).
4. Find the string:
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
or
gamedll "ivpbot\ivpbot.dll"
5. Change it to:
gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
6. Save this file and close editor.
7. Start the game.
8. If the game is started now correctly, but without metamod plugins and without bots - it means, that new mp.dll after Steam's updating now is initialized correct.
9. Close the game Counter-Strike (steam's windows can be opened).
10. Find once again this file liblist.gam.
11. Find the string:
gamedll "dlls\mp.dll"
12. Change it back to:
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
or
gamedll "ivpbot\ivpbot.dll" (like before Your change)
13. Save and close the file.
14. Mark it as "read-only"
15. Start the game.

I tried the first part, and i tried to save it but it said "Cannot create the C:\Program files\Steam\SteamApps\[MY EMAIL]\counter-strike\cstrike\liblist.gam"

Make sure that the path and filename are correct.

Then the Save As window pops up and i click "Save", and another window pops up saying..."liblist.gam This file exists with Read Only Attributes. Please use a different file name." I dofn't know WHAT to do PLEASE help!!!

well, then just remove the read-only attribute of the liblist.gam file :)

Right-click on liblist.gam, select properties. Then uncheck the read-only checkbox. Hit "Apply", then "close", then start over at KWo's step 3.
