Custom Skins, sk
The only problem i have when using skins is when I host a lan game to play with my bots, and it stops loading the map and says something like "this server is staying consistent with (gunnamehere)" Not exactly those words, but anyone know how i could disable this consistency setting.

Re: Custom Skins, sk
I suppose you mean "server is enforcing file consistency for xxxxxx.mdl", right? I know that one... but two things first:
1. afaik, it doesn't have anything to do with bots. It can happen w/ or w/o them. 2. this thread doesn't belong here - maybe "offtopic" ? Anyways, it's not even remotely a Council discussion, and the Agora IS for Council discussions and general suggestions. Sorry, I don't want to flame or anything, just trying to keep things well-organised. Ok, now to your problem:It would be helpful to know which .mdl file caused the server inconsistency error. Maybe I'm telling old stuff you already know, but there's a kind of lock on the p-models for the UMP45 and the SG550 (p_ump45.mdl and p_sg550.mdl). Normally this lock only appears if you connect computers and play via LAN, or on the internet. If you play on a listenserver (i.e. only 1 computer for everything), you should be able to use custom models for everything. (It's like this with CS 1.5, at least, and I think they didn't change it). And I remember I had this problem with several custom models I tried (and I tried MANY), mostly with p-models as well. I can only guess, but maybe these were just sloppy compiles. Afaik, you gotta be especially careful with p-models because they use certain hitboxes, and if a millimeter of the gun model sticks out of these hitboxes, it doesn't work... |
Re: Custom Skins, sk
Yeah i know bots don't have to do anything with it, but the only way i play with bots is creating a game with LAN, thus thats why i related it to the bots. And thanks for the info.

Re: Custom Skins, sk
I'll move the thread to "FPS gamers". No objections ?
