the HPB_bot does this... and the source code for this bot is available.

POD-bot should be able to do this too.

However the custom logos will only be seen on the listen server, not on a dedicated server. The reason is that bots can't be attributed client resources such as the pldecals.wad file in which is stored the client's logo. Bots need to use textures from one of the WAD files already present on the server (and present on the clients too).

What botman did is a point-and-click tool to replace these standard HL textures in the HL.WAD file that the bots are using by custom logos textures. This makes the desired effect (ie, the listen server user sees the bot use custom logos) however it's nothing more than a twisted hack.

If MusicMan or sPlOrYgOn or another one wants to implement this in the bot (or at least verify whether it's not already there), they're free to do so...

Its a pitty. Though i thought you could let bots use the 'normal' hl sprays without hacking and such. There are some funny ones ;)

perhaps there is a way to 'assign' such resources?

if there is a way to make it work on a dedicated server, it would be damn cool.

at some point the server needs to ask the bot if it has a custom logo, no?

maybe somewhere when the bot joins the game?

yes only listen server sees it.
However as bot maker you can distribute your custom decals
