Why do bots get kicked 3-4 maps down the track?
Hi all! =)
Firstly thanks to all that have made realbot a great success! Ok, my question is as the title explains why does my server kick my bots out after a few levels? :| It's not that they get kicked out all at the same time, but slowly one by one they get booted out... ???:( I'm using a slightly modified bots.cfg file that I got from "[WPSC]Silver Ghost" that they posted in another thread (Thank you!) So at the moment I remove them all, "realbot remove 10" and then exec my bots.cfg file again. All is happy for a few levels again.. I'm running CS1.6 on RH9.0 (Now that took me a day to read through these forums to figure out how to get it to work) ;) Other than that they are awesome... My friend and I are slowly going through the levels teaching them how to play... admittedly at the change of map they are fantastic! (Obviously waiting with baited breath for little modification to WIP, but still happy with the progress "stefanhendriks" is making.. Thanks heaps as well Stefan!) haven't had that happed before.
Do you have internet mode turned on? (realbot internet 0/1) don't think that that would be the problem, but if it is turned on try turning it off. have you tried going back to the default bots.cfg? try this out and let us know. edit do you have amx or amxx running on your server? or any other plugins? |

i think the bot.cfg is exec at the start of every map.(not 100% sure is this right Stefan?)
in which case you would be try to add bots on top of bots i think. try taking the "realbot add" lines out of your bot.cfg file and making a file in your cstrike folder (eg: half-life\cstrike) call it what ever your want and make it a cfg file eg: addbots.cfg now put your "realbot add" lines in here when you load your first map just exec your new file in the console eg: exec addbots.cfg. this will add your 10 bots to the game. Now you shouldn't have to exec your .cfg file again as the bots should still be there where a new map loads. couple of the things you can try are. mp_autoteambalance 0 to turn Auto-Balancing team off and remove realbot max 10 if thats don't work put it back, and add realbot min 10 hope this helps |

I figured out why they were getting kicked...
My server was seeing them as being idle and kicking them... o_O This is because I'm still teaching them on some maps, so they just stand around doing nothing until I jump in with a mate and start to play... So I set my mp_autokick to "0" and this disables idle kicks... Obviously I'll change this when my bots know all the levels ;) Glad that one has been sorted! Rolly :D |

phew, almost had to think i had to go through all my map changing code again :)

i have the same problem, BUT, my mp_autokick is already set to 0.
and it doesn't kick 1 or 2 bots randomly. ALL the bots get kicked, then rejoin after awhile. |
