Gamespy’s ‘Gamers' Choice Voting: GOTY 2004’

The race is beginning. As the year comes to a close, it is time for websites to begin polling for 2004's Game of the Year.

Over at Gamespy, Half-Life 2 is eligible for PC Action GOTY and PC Overall GOTY. It’s multiplayer components, HL2DM and Counter-Strike: Source, as well as Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, are eligible for PC Multiplayer GOTY.

The polls close on Monday, December 20th and, just like in the elections, you can only vote once.
So, get out there, make your opinion known and pass the good word. VOTE HERE

HL2 is garenteed to win GOTY, so I'm not going to bother voting for it.


I never did like these "GOTY" awards given out by sites such as this. None of the games on the lists aside from "action game" deserve the award in my opinion. I've played a lot better RPGs than the ones they have listed for PC, but oh well. Gives the sites an oppertunity to bring in some more hits to the site.

well if Valve doesn't include so many Digital Restrictions in HL2, I'm likely to vote for them ;)

Now I'm going to vote for Id Software instead.

to be honest, i find all new games less 'exciting' then the very first RTS/FPS etc i ever played...

OMG look at all the personal info ya gotta give to make a vote.

I was voting for HL2 but then it promted me for that stuff.
I'll vote as soon as i don't have to give personal info.
Hmmm voting where they can see who voted what and where hes from. weird.

GameSpy is excellent to sell away your personal information to spammers. Be aware of it.
