Trying to install HPB bot - Version 1.0 (March 5, 2001)...
 

Hello, I'm trying to install HPB bot - Version 1.0 (March 5, 2001) which I got from FilePlanet tonight... I keep on trying to install it by running the install files that are in each folder for each Half Life MOD but I keep getting the error, "
Half-Life is NOT installed (or is in an unknown directory)

Installation unsucessfull!


Press any key to continue . . ."

I even moved my installation folder for Half Life to C:\\Sierra\Half-Life and it still will not work and I still get the same error... Anyone have any idea where my installation directory needs to be?

Are you running a VERY old version of Half-Life? Newer versions of Half-Life (since about 1.0.1.6) won't work with older versions of the HPB bot.

To solve your problem, in Windows Explorer, click on "Tools->Folder Options", then click on the "View" tab. Uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file type" and click on "OK". Then browse into the HPB_bot folder for the MOD you want and you should see "INSTALL.pif" and "INSTALL.bat". Make sure you double click on the "INSTALL.bat" file.

Don't be surprised if the game crashes since you are using a VERY old version of the HPB bot.
