US's net neutrality act

http://www.savetheinternet.com/

Quote:

Congress is pushing a law that would abandon the Internet's First Amendment -- a principle called Network Neutrality that prevents companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast from deciding which Web sites work best for you -- based on what site pays them the most. If the public doesn't speak up now, our elected officials will cave to a multi-million dollar lobbying campaign.

I just heard about this. Not my country, but still.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this possible law?

So if I got the point clear then the site www.x.com would for example run faster than it's rival www.y.com only because the first pays more than the second to the ISP...........totally absurd

despite that wouldn't effect me directly since I'm not living in the US , I would say yes to Net neutrality !

That's really kind of stupid to me.

Also I wouldn't want someone spying on what I get on the internet etc... That's against alot of privacy laws.
