I was thinking about making an Article on how to setup bots on a server.
Particulary Linux server along with some minimal meta/admin/amx setup.

But where to place these articles.
I have on shrikebot webby already some howto's incorporated in the manual.
To where i refer to from the side bar.

I was thinking maybe bots-united can have something similar.
A side bar which contains usefull links to onsite articles and or important posts.



(ps. who do i contact regarding shrikebot forums on bots-untited.
I want to make it a sub forum with atleast 3 topics.
1. General "chit chat and stuff".
2. Suggestions.
3. Bug Base.)

On the shrikebot forums there are more topics but bots-united has already forum topics for it.
In future i'll be asking shrikebot members to re-register here.

Can we move this to the Agora ? You have to know that the admins forum is only suitable for council votes and very private, undisclosable stuff. Having all the discussions centered in the Agora (a public forum) enables the Bots United regulars to feel more involved in the forum board development. Most of the worthy contributions happen there already :)


P.S. I'm at work right now but once I'll get back home I'll have a look at the ShrikeBot forum.

OK, I can make the suggestions, chitchat and BugBase forums... Is the chit-chat forum for discussing about the bot or for general (all topics) discussion ? If so it would be better to redirect people to the general offtopic section of Bots United...

i made a linux pack for realbot including metmod and the config for amx, maybe you can check it out and reuse some of it:
