Counter-Strike 1.6

Hey all, Looks like it is very quiete around here, which is not good. :( I was wondering if anyone knew about the enormous activity that is *still* around the HL 1 scene? For fun, i've installed bootcamp on my Mac, ran Windows, installed STEAM with HL1 , yes, even installed my bots.

On the internet there are still thousands of servers. I don't know if there is still much that people ask for bots (HL 1 / CS / )?

So i ask for input right here. I mean, if there is still such a community out there, there must be a way to reach them and revamp BU a bit more?

EDIT: Why does my message have all the break spaces removed? WTF? :cursing:

just take a look at this:
http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=stats

The amount of players and servers 1.6 has is still far more than that of source

Re: Counter-Strike 1.6

Well I see that the most people are playing at night, due to the fact that the server/program ( whatever ) that registers that number is located somewhere in the world but not on a place where there are the most players.
I think that the most amount of players should be active in the evening so when it's evening in a particular part of the world, it's already nighttime at the place where the server/program is located.
Or does it not work like that?

Last games I was really active in was NS and Day of Defeat. Though, the community for both these games has died out. Quite funny I played HL1 from start to finish yesterday for fun. I also remember alot of people used to use CS bots (like me) due to a slow internet connection, but that was like 4 years ago and now high speed is very cheap here in the US.

Yeah, the 'need' for bots is a bit dying. :(

Generally the 'need' for PC Games is lower than ever :)
I just read an article claiming that the PC Games Market is slowly becoming a minor thing for the game producers because they make much more money with the console games. In fact Germany seems to be the only place in the whole world where there are more PC Copies sold than their console counter-parts. As much as I understand the urge for devs/publishers to earn money, I do believe that this will make it difficult for amateur devs and perhaps increase the releases of fast-food games. You know those games which make you hungry for playing them by stirring up a huge hype but afterwards you feel empty and disappointed ? Anyway, I will continue playing against Bots I'm just that stubborn !
