Joebot won't let me buy AWP </3
 

First off, hello bots united world =D =D =D.

Ok. now that the introduction speech has been done, onto the problem:

I am running Joebot on Steam 1.6 with Metamod, on XP. Everything works fine, but when I try to buy an AWP/AWM, instead of buying the gun, it runs a speak message, and in the console it says "autowaypoint: OFF"

Any help would be appreciated =D

P.S. I also have RzE's buyscripts, in case that would help any more.

Haven't encountered that bug before myself. What version of joebot are you using? If it's not compiled from the latest source, chances are it still has some bugs.

I am using the 1.6.3 update at http://joebot.bots-united.org/downloads.html .

Unfortunately, I have encountered yet another problem.

During game, if I run into an enemy, and I press any other button besides
w, a, s, d, r and the mouse buttons, it will just give a random radio command. This is a big problem when I am running with my knife out. The last thing I want to do is hear "regroup, team" repeatedly when I am trying to take out a gun. This is also annoying when I try to do the "shoot-AWP-switch-to-deagle" technique, as it just gives a radio command.

Any suggestions? Help? Any would be appreciated =D =D.

that's some really cool bug :D

unfortunately I have no idea how this can happen, since that speach "autowaypoint off" for example is only created when switching that feature off, not when buying weapons. the only thing I could imagine, which would cause such effects would be that you have some really strange binds for your keys.

Sadly, the only different bind I have from the defaults are buyscripts binded to "x" and "z". Everything else is default ='(.
I could try to change the buyscript buttons and see if it changes anything. I'll keep you guys informed =D.

I believe weird things like that may happen when there's something screwed up with FakeClientCommands and/or network messages. If you send too many of either of them in a row (for example, because the bot keeps wanting to switch to a weapon he doesn't have), the game won't keep up with the legitimate ClientCommands and will mess them all up.

My attempts at changing the buyscript keys were futile, sadly </3. All it really did was make it harder for me to buy in-game.

Thank you for the tip, Pierre, but I do not really know how to fix that stuff =/. If it would help any more, I usually only play with about 6 or 7 bots, max, but other than that, I don't really know much about the whole fakeclient commands and such, but any help through this would be greatly appreciated, as the whole IVPbot seeing me through the entire level and tracking me down is not very fun, which I have had to resort to due to Joebot giving me these errors </3.

Hopefully, I (with the help of all you people out there =D) can get Joebot working properly, as most other bots are pretty much walking aimbots.

Any other suggestions/help? Greatly appreciated =D

I just saw at the top of this thread that you're using CS1.6 which also means steam. I never got version 1.6.3 working with metamod in this setup. Have you tried the recompiled version posted elsewhere on this forum? http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=460

You can also try to compile the latest source from sourceforge. I have a setup that's identical to yours and everything works fine with the latest compiled joebot source.

Damn, it seems there are only Linux compiles at that one </3. Anyone seen a compile for XP? Or does that Linux complie work with XP? (somehow)
