I suggest deleting this forum

It appears to be dead.
I have two threads over three weeks old and have gotten no help.

A forum like this needs to be archived then deleted if there is no activity.

Instead of deleting, why not move it to the inactive forums section?

I have never been able to get HPB Bot to work, but RCBots do the job and is a very good program if you would need assistance and/or waypoints of any kind. Their AI seem to be a bit more advanced than other bots.

Ok thank you. I will check on RCbot. The HPB bot code is pretty old I believe.

Re: I suggest deleting this forum

I have tried the rcbot and the AI is light years ahead of HPB bot. Unfortunately, the min/max bot count is not adjusted dynamically in response to players joining/leaving but only at map change. I want the bots to leave when human players join server. It would be a shame if I cannot use these great bots for this reason.

I posted on the rcbot forum but no response so I will try the email route. Thanks.

I thank there is a setting for this hmmm i don't remember but scan the forum for an answer

bot_config.ini

increase the bot amount

config max_bots -1
config min_bots -1
to
config max_bots 6
config min_bots 2

i beleve max is the amount of bot always in server before humans join and min bots are the amout that stay in server even though there are humans.. or maybe the other way around

I suggest NOT deleting the forum. It contains a variety of reference information, links, etc.

Botmans old HPB forum is available as a downloadable archive.
I found it useful reading a few weeks ago.
