OK - the latest thing which may affect Your access to pb menu...
Maybe this is not clearly written in this topic, but...
The file called podbot.cfg (which is placed in cstrike\addons\podbot folder and which contains pb_passwordkey and pb_password strings) is executed only once at server's start. What does it mean? It's not sufficient to call changelevel command only to get it reloaded (and get affected the changes You did to get the access to podbotmenu). You need to stop CS on Your server then start it again (or completly restart the server) to get podbot.cfg reloaded. I've just got an idea to add a command to reload podbot.cfg during the game if some admin wishes it so (to prevent necessity restart the server).
There is also another way You can get affected the changes You did in podbot.cfg. As You probably already know - pb_passwordkey and pb_password they are cvars, so ... You can change them during the game with rcon access (or directly in Your server's console). If You type in the client's PC:

No - if You have everything in podbot.cfg (pb_passworkey and pb_password desired) on the server and You have also the setinfo stuff on Your client's PC (either in config.cfg or in autoexec.cfg) - restarting the server is sufficient (but not only the map on it - restart the whole CS). In this case You don't need to put that rcon stuff. It was a way in the case if for some reason You couldn't restart the server.
amx_restartround doesn't reload podbot.cfg (the same for changlevel). But once the podbotmenu will start to work for You, there is no reason to don't use at all amx_restartround or changelevel (You should use them if You need them).

Only the first time. Once the pb menu thing is working, You don't need to restart Your server to get the access again.

From that what I can see Your temporary password "asdf" is in the correct place (I hope that config.cfg You posted is taken from client's PC). So You don't need to do anything with autoexec.cfg.

yes'er, it was taken from my-side folder client.
anyhow. i restarted my server and went to open console and i did this as shown
bind "." "pb menu"

and hit ".".......... it worked!!!!!:D :D :D

thats all i did...... i just restarted my server, connected to game/server, opened console(reset my bind key ".")bound "." to "pb menu" and closed console, hit "." and it worked...symple as that....... for sooommeeee odddddd reason, it worked. now i have tryed that before....restart and re-bind my key, and it didn't work.... i changed nothing at all, honestly i dunno how i did it lol....really....i dont:mellow: :tooth: ...but it works like a charm now no problems with anything. addbots kill bots remove all bots fill server.....everything a-okay. but heres the weird part... of course its going to work NOW-because of the fact i am going to reinstall my server, i have axedentlly deleted my amxx.data file from my data folder and that casued my server to lose all my stats.cfg sound settings, i cant get it back they told me. the only way they said is to reinstall server. its really no big deal with out amx sounds but i would like them on my server again....
but like i said "MURRPHYS LAW" says anything that can happen will happen... and pb works great now... but when i go to reinstall my server..... ill have problems again...... :cursing: :fuck-8: :double fuck: :angry: :guns: :guns: :death: :guns: :pinch: :censored: :censored: :censored: :dots: :hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

I don't think You need to reinstall whole Your server...
Get this All-In-One package. Uznip everything into Your main cstrike folder on the server. Let it overwrite Your files. Then - remember again to edit podbot.cfg (or - rename Your current cstrike\addons folder on the server to addons_old to have the backup of it - to copy Your podbot.cfg back). It contains AMX X with stats.

in my console (in-game)? and did you sad i didnt even have to do that? i have write down the setinfo and binded key in the config.cfg file inside my \My_Acc\Counter-Strike\cstrike folder and the pb_passwordkey and pb_password in my podbot files.

i have changed my passwordkey and password in my podbot.cfg maps (2 of them) one in Steam\SteamApps\My_Acc\dedicated server\cstrike\addons\podbot and one other in Steam\SteamApps\My_Acc\dedicated server\cstrike\addons\podbot\pod_v3 docs\files\configs so it looks like this but i've removed the passwords ofc:

I've restart both CS and my Dedicated Server... but it still says unknown command: pb (in-game CS) only works from the Dedicated server, BUT! its very hard to make Waypoints and such things from my Dedicated server, right? :cursing:
should i maybe try remove the # infront of bind and setinfo in my podbot.cfg and only change the bind to . and write my password in setinfo?

im really stuck :crying:

Forget about it, i made it! all i had to do was writing setinfo _pbadminpw "passwordhere" with my password in-game :):innocent:

weard is that i've done that before, but anyway.. it works! i come back if i get any issues.. or maybe if anyone needs help with this issues!! :santa: happy christmas everybody XD

Hi, iam having the same problem with the amx_pbmenu not working. The line in the podbot.cfg looks fine here it is:

Although I do have a dedicated server THAT I AM PAYING FOR so it is not running on my desktop, and I was not able to find the autoexec.cfg anywhere.

I read the first couple of posts that say i should set a password, but I do not see how that will help me because when I type in amx_pbmenu in the councel nothing will come up it will say unknown command. and if I do set a pasword would I have to set it in the autoexec.cfg aswell? and how would I enter it in the game once I start playing on my server?... sorry I don't understand all this.

You are mixing 2 menus as one, that's why You don't understand how to get it working...
amx_pbmenu is the command coming from AMX X plugin amxx_podbotmenu. To get the access fot the menu coming from this plugin You need to have ADMIN_MENU rights in amxmodx\configs\users.ini (so basically You have to have AMX X running on the server and this plugin installed to have the chance get working amx_pbmenu command).
This topic we are in it right now is basically dedicated to "pb menu" command, which invokes the build-in the bot dll/so menu to control/handle bots. "pb menu" is a client console command, so it shouldn't be called as any "rcon" command. If On Your client's PC autoexec.cfg file doesn't exist, just create as text fle the new one with all this stuff You were reading before. If You don't have time to read the whole topic (all posts in it) to understand how to get "pb menu" command working, I don't have time to write 100 time the same wheat I was writing here already.

What to you mean "Your client's PC"... is that refering to my PC? I have a autoexec.cfg file in my valve folder in my steamapps on my desktop but its empty, and its no where else to be located so I don't know what to put in it, and where would I save it to on my dedicated server if I was to make a new one? ... and if I do this it should work?

The box PC You are paying for renting it it's Your dedicated server. You are running the CS on it and You have all settings there for the user access (for example podbot.cfg in addons\podbot folder and the section about passwords; users.ini for AMX X in addons\amxmodx\configs folder).
To manage CS during the game You need to connect from another PC (in this case it's more thank likely Your home's PC). Any PC using data shared by the server is called a "client". So on the client PC (Your home PC You are trying to connect the rented dedicated server from) in folder ...SteamApps\counter-strike\cstrike or ...SteamApps\condition zero\czero You should have the file called autoexec.cfg (if it doesn't exist - just create it by notepad - it's a txt file). If You have everything there and You still have troubles with access to "pb menu" or "amx_pbmenu" command, open the file config.cfg (placed in the same folder) and find the same lines in it like in autoexec.cfg You wrote. If they didn't come there, just add them manually by notepad (config.cfg should contain "setinfo" lines with passwords You want to send to the server to get the access on it after joining it).

I've just installed CS 1.6 full v6 + patch 35 (4156/p47) and i can't launch game with pb mm (and yapb too). When I press Start Game hl.exe crashes.

Also, this release is using steamemu.

Hello guys, i was wondering if any1 can help me im running a HLDS i installed pod-bot into puglins.ini, went into my server typed amx_pbmenu it poped up but the add bots won't add any bots to my server. Can any1 plz help me??

Read carefully this topic from the first post, then You will know amx_pbmenu is not the command invoking build-in podbotmenu. amx_pbmenu is invoking the menu looking the same as podbotmenu, but it works thanks some amxx plugin, but this topic is not about it).

I've read everything i could, but I am lost still. I'm trying to make waypoints on a server I made on my computer all my bots are running with amx I have the key binded bind "h" "pb wpmenu" And every time I hit that key I get this message.
You must be the host of a listen server to use this command
I'm also on a router and maybe I'm missing something. I don't know.

GOT IT! It's easier to make a dedicated server /HLSERVER VALVE FOLDER then drag all the amxx shit to your cstrike folder. Then Make a file called listenserver.cfg and put that in the cstrike folder.

The way you explain it all makes sense to most but some get confused, and on a dedicated server typing the "restart" command won't allow access to the pb menu to those who can't get it here's what i did to fix the issues i had like KWo said


Server side setup:

C:\HLServer\cstrike\addons\podbot\podbot.cfg thats the file you need to access on the server inside this file heres what needs to be changed.

podbot.cfg:

# Sets the password to have access to the podbot menu on DS by 'pb menu'
# console command typed in client's admin PC or called from the binded key.
# Example of bind on Your client PC:
# bind "=" "pb menu"
pb_password "Password1"

change the bold text to whatever you want now for the next part

Client Side settings:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\"steamuserid"\counter-strike\cstrike

in that folder create a text file "autoexec.cfg" like KWo said previously make sure to have hide known file extensions checked off or the file will be "autoexec.cfg.txt" and will not work if you already have this file then just add the following to it

autoexec.cfg:

setinfo "_pbadminpw" "this is the same password you made in the podbot.cfg file"
bind "=" "pb menu"

After all this has been done type exit on the console of your server this will close the server all the way then restart the server and it should then work """""THIS INFO IS FOR DEDICATED SERVERS ONLY FOR NAMESERVER HELP ASK KWo""""""""
