Version 6.00.00 for Linux and Windows

Version 6.00.00 Build 20050101.00 for Windows and Linux

Release notes:

* Added Linux support

* Updated and enhanced the installation documentation.

* Added new command syntax for podbot_mm version 2B46a and up, this means that mEAn will now work with the latest versions of podbot_mm.

* Support for CS 1.5 has been dropped.

* Several bots were dropped from the supported list, either because the bot had become obsolete under CS 1.6, or had not been tested with mEAn for over one year. Support for all bots that work under CS 1.6 will be put in place as I have time to add them in.

* Updated documentation to reflect all new changes up to version 6.00.00

* Updated the source code to version 6.00.00 Build 20050101.00. A makefile for Linux compiles is available.

good job botmeister!! :D
linux support out of the box was about the only thing that lacked to the mEAn bot admin mod :)
now you have your hands free for other stuff I guess ;)

Good Job Botmeister!

Still I ve a problem:

I use a listenserver with mean and Podbot_mm latest release and no other plugins.

Everything works just fine until i chnfigure a warmode: eg awpwar

The CT do the right thing: buy APW sneak around and kill erveryone on sight.
but the T are loosing it completely! They shiver like mad, most of them are unable to move shooting around like mad pulling the trigger without reloading.

so far i tried several Configurations but its always the same and its always the T's behaving strangely.

Thx for help

I'll test this out on my server. Are you running linux or windows?

Ooops sorry man!

I got something wrong here:

the warmodes are working allright - the problem is to write "m_botaimfix on"
into a scenario file. only that triggers the symptoms. Hope you didn't waste any time testing so far :(

Anyway I use Windows XP

According to the manual the comand is somewhat obsolete as it is on by default. I used it anyway to make shure to get the "mean" aiming which I think is better than the podbot-mm ones.

so my fault...

Well, ahh, once again i was wrong...9_9

I think there is a bug.

here's the final description:

1: I put "m_botaimfix off" as a common rule into the szenario file: everything ok; but aiming is not improved.

2: I don't use the term at all: T's behave disturbed; CT are good.
3: I put "m_botaimfix on" as a common rule into the szenario file: same result.
4: I put "m_botaimfix off" in addition to 3 as a rule for the Terror botteam: everthing ok; but only the CT are "Mean Killers".

So imo the T Code gets mixed up whenever the botaimfix is activated.

Re: Version 6.00.00 for Linux and Windows

I tested things out on my server and the T's are just as deadly as the CT's when m_botaimfix is on.

Some things to look at, are you adding bots using the bot balancer, or from the podbot config file?

Do you use some kind of player skin mod?

What are the skills of the T bots when they behave badly? Type m_bot at the console to find out.

Do the bots have enough money to buy good weapons?

Is the problem map specific?
