[Realbot] Linux Development Server
With the request of Stephan, we set up a single dedicated Linux server to help with the development of AI-Realbot. However, this is going to take a community effort.
We are currently up and running and can be found at the following: http://cache.www.gametracker.com/ser...000-591F11.png Now we need players to interact with these bots and teach them how to do what they need to do in each map. We would like to share the learning files with the Server Admin Community. But first we need players to teach them. We have a good handful of custom maps (see list below) with very fast downloading so no need to wait 5 minutes for a 2 MB map. Maps here are downloaded in seconds, not minutes, guaranteed! Here is a list of maps we currently have installed: Code:
scoutzknivez2K.bsp Now help us by getting in there and teach them bots! Or is it you are not manly enough to do so? :toung: Krillin |
Re: [Realbot] Linux Development Server
Most of you may have noticed this, but the server keeps going down because Realbot keeps locking up the entire system. We do not know why, and the current version out makes managing the console impossible with all the messages logged in it. We are going to give it one more go today, and if it will not stay running, we are going to have to seek another alternative to get this running again. I do not know what happened this month to the point where this thing doesn't want to run for more than a 4 hours.
We are baffled but trying everything we can to keep this running. Krillin |
Re: [Realbot] Linux Development Server
I am quite stunned this happens compared to the previous versions so often. In fact, the code that is changed is so little (i mean, on the memory side) i am puzzled why this happens.
Is there a possibility to use a different linux flavor? |
