ET Wiki updated!

Crapshoot has assigned responsibility of updating the ET Wiki to me. I have just finished adding all the new 0.70 waypointing actions and keywords, plus instructions for waypointing with tanks. More waypointing enlightment to come after I recuperate from the current endeavour.

Re: ET Wiki updated!

Well, I've been busy again working on a new page for the Wiki about routes. I figured that since I seemed to be the waypointer who had the most trouble with route problems, bugs, and my own mistakes, that I should be the one to write up what I learned from the patient and long tutoring that I received from Mal and Crapshoot.

You can find a link to it from the Wiki under the Routes heading, or go directly to it here http://wiki.bots-united.com/index.php/The_Route_System

Let me know if you spot any errors or omissions or if any part of it needs clarification. Thanks!

Excellent work! The diagrams are a nice touch as well.

It really makes me miss working on Fritz and the team we have here. :)

Cheers!

ANNOUNCEMENT
Update: The wiki with Crapshoots help has now grown to 22 articles for you would-be waypointers and testers. And some review and polish is still to come.

THANK YOU. That is all.

Re: ET Wiki updated!

Awesome! Thats really great looking. :)

Took a quick look at it, saw one potential part that could confuse ppl:

In the "Debugging Script Files" section, at the top, it mentions the botdebugging script keyword. Thats from the original ET bot that SD was working on that was never completed. Its not possible to do any bot debugging from the script in FritzBot. So the botdebugging keyword does nothing ATM that I know of ( it could even cause issues, if it tried to muck about with the bot clients, but I haven't tested that assumption ).

Re: ET Wiki updated!

Update: There are now 30 articles in the Fritzbot ET wiki. And offline backup copies are available here.

Unfortunately because of spammers a couple of pages had to be renamed-moved and a new category also used.

Consequently because of the spammers, Please Note that Onno who admins the servers has made access to the wiki dependent on a session login described here. Your authorized session should remain valid until you close your browser.

Re: ET Wiki updated!

CrapShoot and I discussed about a year ago breaking up the main FritzBot_ET page to move the waypointing stuff to its own page. So please note I have now copied the Creating Waypoints section to a new page FritzBot_ET_Creating_Waypoints and corrected all links within the wiki.

Now I will delete the original section on the main page once I have satisfied myself that any links from the forums or external websites will be reasonably handled. Until then any edits to section 9.xx on the main page should also be made to the new page. Thank You.

Hi, everybody!

My free time wobbles in and out of existence, but I'd like to be involved again when I get the chance. Give me a few days to catch up on all the posts I've missed.

I also seem to be blocked from the Wiki. What's that about?

Glad to see things are still going, and happy holidays to all!
