HPB_Bot does not buy in cs 1.6
 

Hi,

after testing for a longer time with 1.6 i found that the bots don't buy, they do use weapons piked up though.

i think that problem has been solved in RealBot, so perhaps stefan can help.

This is normal, botman didn't really made his bot to support CS. The HPB_bot was made for the following mods:
- Half-Life deathmatch
- TFC
- Opposing Force
- Holy Wars
- Front Line Force
- DMC
Botman added a very basic support to CS to show people that it was possible to have bots in CS. But the bot's don't buy weapons, voluntarily, because botman never really wanted to support this mod.

Adding buying code in the HPB_bot is simple, though... perhaps for version 5.0 ? :)

well ok, i'm just to fixed on CS, see :-)

but don't put too much efford into it, afaik the bots are of no real use in cs, they are very slow (i.e. stopping at every corner and slowly walking around it) and mostly only win due to early headshooting (i.e. they shoot before the head is around the corner, i die without looking into their face, when they know where i am), when it comes to a real shoot out over a medim distance i allways kill 4 or more of them, they don't aim well over bigger distances.

Dudes not to be rude but how do you change the buying code or whatever so that REALBOT buys? cuz i have the same problem, the bots just use basic pistols, dont even pick up dropped guns...what do i have to change?
