Help ... me ... CS mappers.
Hey guys !
I'm converting ts_normandin to cs_normandin. I have a problem though. I can't get models to show up. Not in the editor, or in the game. I know ... it's been a long time since I made a cs map ... but sheesh ! I seem to be retarded now ! LOLZ ! Is there a new fgd I should be using ? Grrrrr ... confusion ! How do I make models work in CS ??? Cheers ! |
Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.
for 1.6 it hasn't changed too much... they just added new folders... just make sure the models are here
c:\steam\steamapps\youremailaddress@.com\counter-strike\cstrike\models as for the fgd heres a link from counter-map http://countermap.counter-strike.net...-cs-expert.zip i hope this helps... GOOD LUCK! |
Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.
That seems to be a very old FGD, the last update to it was in Jan 26, 2001.
Try this instead. www.thefuture.dk/1/cs_expert178e++.fgd |
Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!
/Me jumps up and down... Normandin as a Counter-Strike map - and even a hostage rescue scenario (which has become almost rare nowadays)... yeeee-haa! 8D It's a shame you can't count on me when it comes to giving valuable CS mapping advice, but as soon as you have a beta ready, I'll be glad to play Pierre and nag you into perfecting it... ;) Cheers and the best of luck to you! :) |
Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.

Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.
Models now work for me.
I'm still mapping with Valve/WON, so pathnames aren't the problem. I have the latest fgd. (cs_expert-tom793c_wc35.fgd) Using cycler sprites & they even render in Hammer now. I can't seem to alter the angle of the light_env now. I'm sure I'll figure it all out, either way. Frustrating as hell though ! I forget the CS stuff ... & other things too, quite often ... ;) |
Re: Help ... me ... CS mappers.
