Hi

It was just to notify people that botman's website has a new home at bots-united... we also host all his releases for downloading, so this time you can say bye bye to the problems with fileplanet not having the files :)

There are also a non neglectable quantity of tutorials that we thought we wouldn't want to let go away in case gamespy decided suddently to shutdown botman's pages for whatever reason someday.

The website is now located at http://hpb-bot.bots-united.com

he sent them to Stefan who uploaded it to Bots United... I only had to add an entry to the webserver then.

Someone should probably change the URL on the www.bots-united.com webpage to link to hpb_bot.bots-united.com instead of www.gearboxsoftware.com

well there is one 'bug' in this mirror. If you click on "Forum" link in original page, you are taken to page where you can download zipped botman's forum.
In this mirror, clicking on "Forum" will take you right to new forum and you can't obtain a link to zipped botman's forum :|

On botmans' original site, make a redirection note (like here www.hivemind.zor.org) signalling you have moved. Otherwise old users of botmans original homepage (ie: me)
will use the old sources.

Well, I've been trying to get into the planethalflife.com ftp site all weekend and it's either not responding or I connect and then it immediately disconnects me.

I'm not sure if they are doing maintenance this weekend or what. I'll try again in a couple of days and see if I can get access to my planethalflife.com website to change stuff.

Man, I HATE gamespy. I HATE them, I HATE them, I HATE them (but at least the bandwidth was free :))

I finally figured out what the problem was contecting to my planethalflife.com website.

Gamespy.com had changed the FTP site they use for hosted sites to connect to their network. They changed things back in June of this year, but I never received an email from them stating that this would change. I when to their techincal support webpage and saw the news announcement about their FTP host changing in the near future and that the old FTP host was going to go away.

I've updated my main page, my projects page, and my download page to point to bot-united.com

Heh, I went to my website at planethalflife.com recently...

...and it's GONE! They FINALLY removed it (I don't know exactly when, because I only check it about every 6 months or so but it's gone now).

well I believe all of the hosted sites @ planethalflife/planetquake has been in "maintainance" for quite a long time... and they finally removed them entirely now :P
