Downloading microsoft visual c++

Does anyone know where to download microsoft visual c++?

Also, a question for botman:

Will you be making a version of the HPB_Bot for Half-life 2? And if so , will you release the source code?

Umm, - WRONG place to ask that. :|

This isn't a warez forum.

Microsoft Visual C++ itself is a commercial product and unless you wish to search for it illegally (an act I do not condone), then you will have to be ready to pay the hundred dollars or so the program costs.

In the past week, Microsoft has released Microsoft Visual C++ Express which is for now a free download, since I believe it is in beta stage. The Express range is an introductory point for beginners so I am unsure as to whether it will be fully compatible with the HPB_Bot source code. Also, you might want to check out the accompanying EULA (End-User Licence Agreement) since I have heard there are quite strict guidelines where distribution is concerned. After all, if all you want to do is have a better knowledge of C++ and of how HPB_Bot works, I should not see why you do not download it.

And yes, I will probably be making a bot for Half-Life2 once the game and Half-Life2 SDK are released. I haven't decided whether it will be open source or not yet.

Speaking of this, I would enjoy a little more participation from all of you in the UbGameDriverAPI thread... 9_9
or does "someone" need to come around, show a working stuff and impose it to all ?

"show a working stuff"

So, does that mean you have a working example?

No. I'm indeed trying to put something together but I wouldn't advise people to count on it. <-- let me stress out this last part.

I was hoping that the people who haven't said anything yet might be preparing something. By "someone" I was not referring to anybody in particular this time :| - but for example I'd have liked to have news from Aspirin's experiments about engine independence with JoeBot XP, for example. Or maybe yourself wanting to share again your experience of other engines and join in helping figuring out together what's possible and what not.

Still aiming at supporting HL2 primarily, but staying as portable as we can towards the other games can't hurt.
