Hm, I thought they would use other weapons in Natural Selection Classic - the combat logic shouldn't really be different from Combat mode.

Probably you have to test it by yourself :)

Oh btw, I've already tested your BOT in Day of Defeat. It's great, at least they were easier to join rather than Sturmbot. However, for some reason, Sandbot couldn't join to Allies team if their country was set to British instead of United States. I don't know why 😶

Yeah I'll try it out - are you using MetaMod by the way?

And yeah I haven't added support for the British in Day of Defeat yet - should be a quick fix I think so I'll probably do it for the next release.

Maybe give it a go without MetaMod.

On that topic, is anyone any good with MetaMod? Things just keep breaking on me (first cvar changes, now enemies not attacking each other).

I haven't tested it without metamod yet, however I just found if Sandbot actually could use Shotgun or Heavy Machine Gun but at VERY CLOSE range. Otherwise, they were just using a pistol.

By the way, Sandbot are supported to use with metamod in Natural Selection but not in Day of Defeat (in DoD the game will crash if I'm using metamod). Can you explain this?

Sandbot v0.4.2 works in MetaMod for me (I'm using Metamod version 1.21p37).
I tried without MetaMod on ns_machina and the marines used their machine-guns although yeah the range for its use might be a bit short (I think I'll bump it up and eventually check the maximum range in the Natural Selection source code).

I've started work on British bots in Day of Defeat too - turns out they're not a separate team they're just different Allied classes. Still not spawning yet but getting there.

Ok, now I understand. My DoD was crashed because I'm using old version of metamod (ver 1.20)

However...

Using a metamod like yours (ver 1.21p) doesn't solve my problem :(

Have you tried verifying your cache in Steam? Do you have any other mods installed?
