Site was under hack attack?
 

Hello I had noticed this site was offline for a day since Wednesday. I don't know how but I've heard some other sites like GameSave Manager as well as my site was raided by spambots and maybe having too many queries, that the site couldn't keep up this January. I have a nasty feeling that un-updated sites that don't have those security updates for blocking "Meltdown", "Spectre" as well as "Heartbleed" maybe under threat.

BU don't use SSL/TLS so "Heartbleed" is out of the question. About Metldown and Spectre, the attacker should be able to execute the code directly on the server in order to do these attacks, so don't worry about that. :)

About the DDOS attacks - this is not actually a security attack and when your server is targeted by such attacks mitigating them is not easy, but the good news is that they don't last long. They are critical for hosting/service providers, it's not big deal that the forum will be down some time. :)

Well I wasnt sure if BU uses SSL for like in cPanel, Webmin or maybe those AdminCP for secure access in the "backstage" of BU.
