Re: cs-botchat soundfiles

what sound files does YaPB use and is there a way to make podbotmm use them too?

Re: cs-botchat soundfiles

YaPB uses the standard-radio stuff and supports additional custom soundchat-files if you like. You can use any soundfiles for YaPB or create your own, too. I donīt know if podbot_mm supports this feature. I was surprised to find this cool feature in the bot because I havenīt tried the new YaPB yet, only Whistlers older versions.

When I saw this really cool thing in YaPB I thought immediately everyone can make his own bot-chat-sounds in different languages or with funny things in it and share it with the community! All you need is a headset and audacity or some recording software. Maybe Iīll post some more or a tutorial tomorrow, stay tuned.

Cool :)

Just a notice:
Chatter was added not to force people to use illegal versions of CZBot chatter, or buy CZ content, NO. It was maded mainly with Russian version of chatter, which is freely available and maded by community, and later converted to official CZbot files.

YES!! PLease convince KWo into making this feature available for podbotmm! PLEASE!! tell him that there are legal files that bots can use, like the CS1.6 player radio messages.

Re: cs-botchat soundfiles

Ok, here is how it works to get your own cs-botchat: You need some recording software (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ for example) and a micro (or headset). Than just record the botchat-sound in Mono/22kHz. To change the sound you can pitch or change the speed. Than you can add a "radio-filter" if you like. Save the wav-sound in the right directory -finished!

The audio-format for cs-botchat is: Mono, 22kHz, wav
The file-size should be about 10-30kb/file (eg.

@person135:
It's a huge amount of work, to imlement this.

Also you can use SoundForge, and it is not necessary to put sounds in \cstrike\sound\radio\bot, you can specify directory using yb_voicepath variable or RewritePath statement inside chatter.cfg.
