New Sturmbotloader

I had yesterday started to develop a new SturmbotLoader.

To Remember:
The old Sturmbotloader, a Bot-Loader for Day of Defeat, an known Half-Life-Mod, was develop by E.Rommel and make it easy to start a server game with bots and some configurations. But the old Version works only before Steam came, and E.Rommel death in 2003. My new Version will continued the SturmbotLoader and will works with Steam now.

You can find a little Preview at the official Sturmbot Forum.

Regards,
xpmstos aka Bern8r (Sturmbot.de)

Nice :)

Since it's not a bot but rather an addition it fits better in the "plugins" subsection of Bots United. Like any plugin author, you can post announcements and provide support for your work there. Mind if I move the thread ? :)

Alpha Preview Released

This move is good, thanks.

After some long nights, i will present you a very firstly preview of an alpha version. You can add, modify & remove bots, generate bots automatically, but cant save the bot.cfg at the moment :(
The MapCycle-Editor will be work correct and generated the mapcycle file.
To test, the game (not server) can be started with some additional commands, but with the Multiplayer-Only tag.

You will find the Setup (1,6 MB) at my Homepage, go with the menu to SturmbotLoader.

Yes, version 1.7 is out but only beta for now. And maybe it's the last version of SturmBot if someone won't continue JoWo's work. It's because he is probably dead :( He was on vacation in Asia and now he is on Red Cross list of missing people :((( I hope he isn't dead.

i followed, well like most of the oldies here hehe followed sturmbot development since day 1 of it's release posted at planet HL ions ago. the first was really good already and it kept on improving too bad Johan Linde, AKA... Jowo - author of sturmbot is no longer with us.

His spirit lives on with the likes of Cheeseh....the last remaining hl/hl2 bot developer.
