I have a fresh server and need some advise on setup
 

Hello All!!

My Server IP: 192.168.0.102:27015
currently up and running

I am running the setup from this site here:http://picturepixel.homestead.com/Steam_Server.html

and i have a warcraft 3 FT based server going so far so good... I was wanting to add bot functionality to the server, however I am at a loss, Realbot looks good, they have agreat new system that "learns" i like that... but i need a really good set of in depth instructions nothing against the guy that made the readme for Realbot, but i have a few places i am not sure with... Basicly with a fresh server install i want to be walked through the steps to get a working server with Realbot or an other alternative. (i also think this would make a good starting resourse for others too :) )

that ip is your lan ip, not wan ip. try going to whatismyipaddress.com to see what the wan ip is.

also, if you run realbot with your server, you need to add +localinfo mm_gamedll (path to the realbot dll here) to your shortcut startup icon, since realbot isn't a metamod plugin

So i add that to the steam shortcut or do i find the server program?? THANKS!!! hmm... that is the ip that the server SAYS it is using... but if no oone can connect then i will agree with you whole heartingly...

ok i just checked again and i think the external ip is 68.102.53.217
I am behind a router... damn i will have to forward some ports won't i ?

I am planning on using the new version that just came out. I like the learning ability, so that after time it will get better at playing... etc, and i can have some custom maps for the clan... THANKS allot

i know this sounds retarded but does anyone have the slitest idea how to install realbot (the new verion) onto a steam based dedicated server??

also i know this loos like spamming for all thes posts, but question keep on coming... is there any way to use the menu for realbot (h key) in the steam dedicated server, or will i have to use commands, i am cool with commands, but i know my buddie who helps me won't... :|

Also steam won't let me host any other maps than the cs_... etc and i want to host starwars2 with warcraft3 mod... (I am laughing too) but i can't get the map in thier.. i added it to the map rotation and it didn't get it... i am at a loss...

These are RealBot specific questions, aren't they ? You'd have better chances of seeing them replied in the RealBot forums, I think :)

install realbot v 1.0 (the old one)
don't do anything with it now
install some other metamod stuff (amxmod, adminmod or alike)
[if you fail here seek for help from that addons site]
this way you should get a running metamod
next start that stuff and verify it works ('meta list' in the console), stop then
now get the .dll from the new RealBot WIP #6 and place it in the realbot/dll folder
now edit the plugins.ini in <your stream path>\<your email>\cstrike\addons\metamod\plugins.ini and add the new realbot_mm.dll

start your server and look for mesages from realbot :-)

If you still need help contact me, i can make installer that
will let you use realbot or ivpbot anytime you like but not
both at the same time..

I have a RealBot WIP version that is fixed to run with other bots. I can run POD-bot, IvPBot and RealBot WIP at the same time :P

Stefan is about to make a release I think, so be patient ;)

Actually having an installer would be nice... i think i am sounding very noobish.. lol, but i think it would save me a great deal of time if you did make an installer. Thanks!
