Only Knives and Equipment
 

Is there any way to make the bots use only Knives and buy only shields, grenades and armor.

Jasonmode is nice, but they dont buy anything else then using the knife. :huh:

Read here about weapon restrictions (IV- Weapon/equipment restrictions settings).

Ive tried configuring that, maybe I did something wrong, they still used the USP.

If You have changed something in podbot.cfg, but the server was still working (You didn't stop it), the change doesn't affect bots. Stop and restart the server. It's not enough just reload the map. If You want to change something in settings without restarting the server - You can change any setting from the server console - since they are cvars.

Anyways, I played around with the weapon settings and stuff, closest I got was making the bots using shields, but with pistols. Is it even possible? Or do I have to play with Jasonmode?

Please clarify what is still not working, From that what I understood You wanted them to using knives and shields, so the problem is now they don't buy grenades or where is the problem now?

Oh sorry.

The problem is, Jasonmode only make them use knives, but dont buy anything.

I want them to buy shields, and equipments, like grenades and kevlar, and use them.

But no ranged weapons, pistol, rifle etc.

Ive tried to configure podbot.cfg and botweapons.cfg, but I can only make them to use the pistols they hold, and buy shields and grenades. But they dont use the knives.

So - if they don't have weapon other than knives, but jasonmode is off, how they are attacking the enemy? What they are doing? Can You be more descriptive?

They spawn with USP and Glock, and pick up weapons I dropped.
They dont buy the guns, but they use them.

Excuse me, But there is something I don't understand. If You are buying and using a better weapon than Your bots, that's at least unfair. Either don't buy and don't use any better weapon than Your bots or let everybody to use the same weapon. The weapon restriction works only for buying it, not for using. This is how it is designed and it is not a bug. There is nothing more to change in settings You can do to get it working better.

Ah okay, me and my friend usually play we two against 10-20 bots on highest skill, and they only have knives. Sorry for not describing it clearly, and thanks for the help.
