Settings for a realy quick Podbot?
 

Hello,

i want to have realy quick podbots.

My Settings are:

-inhuman turns and
-agressive @Skill 100

With:

MAX_DELAY 0.01
MIN_TURNSPEED 1.0
MAX_TURNSPEED 1.0
AIM_OFFS_X 0.0
AIM_OFFS_Y 0.0
AIM_OFFS_Z 0.0
HEADSHOT_ALLOW 100
HEAR_SHOOTTHRU 100
SEEN_SHOOTTHRU 100

And the Problem is in the botskill.cfg is this note:
# NOTE: If in podbot.cfg you have pb_aim_type set to 1 (inhuman turns)
# the turnspeeds here will be overridden

So, how can i change the "turnspeeds" @inhuman turns?


And in General: how can i make a podbot with aiming like an "aimbot"? (extrem quick)

Leave the aim_type to default.

hmmm, still very slow, for me :no:

and especially on the map "aim_map", The bots not always shoot and very slow and not very good @aiming with these settings and "aim_type 2".

When i play 1vs5 Bots on aim_map, I have plenty of time before they can kill me.
How can i make these bots faster? And realy "agressive"?

Did You try V3B19d? If those bots are too slow for You, use YapB, please. They can beat even CZERO bots...

Yes, i have the V3 Version. And to slow yes ;)

Ok, i try YapB, (at the moment the download mirror on the homepage is down)

But is YapB working with the Headshot-Plugin that i have? And the waypoints for Podbot? working it with YapB?

V3 doesn't mean V3B19d. Try exactly that version I pointed You with the link. In most cases yapb should work with podbot mm waypoints. The only problem might be the camp waypoints.

Yes, i have the V3B19d, but the bots are still too slow for me. When i want to use Podbot mm, is there other way to improve the bots @killingspeed?

You can messaround the pb_aim_spring_stiffness_x and
pb_aim_spring_stiffness_y - but step by step to some higher values. You can try to chnage it from the console (don't need to restart the game every time after changing settings. Try maybe with 20 for x and y. Once You will find the good settings You can later write them to the podbot.cfg. But it works with pb_aimtype 4

1)Those pb_aim settings in podbot.cfg, do they work on all 4 bot aim types?
I mean if you change any of those pb_aim settings, will there be a difference in bot aiming behaviour at any of the 4 bot aim types?

2)What's the difference between botaim1 and botaim2?
I guess botaim1 is from the old V2 and botaim2 is from the newer V3

P.s.:I went spectate while trying the "inhuman turns" and I can't imagine that you will get the aiming speed any faster than that!

The main problem is that the potbot dont shoot!

Especially on aim_map. They run around, see me. But the they dont shoot. Many times they are running with a knife to my spawnpoint.


I want that the Podbots shot an me when they see me. (sorry for this englisch)

Strange, I just tested aim_map and they fire like hell, even when they're on the levelled area at the back of the map.
Post your podbot.cfg here so we can see how your settings might be wrong.

Please also write the output from the screen (this what You can see - just copy and paste it here) after You are typing the command in the server's console:
meta list

Now it works...I changed the command: bot_turn_method 2 to bot_turn_method 1.

And now they are very quick. ;)

Hmm, i do it in the game, in the console.

And i have download the Podbot mm Full Pack V3B18c and then the "Patch"V3 Build 19d.

Ah yes ;) now i know it. I have the plugin "BotAim" too.

Now everything is clear - You should remove the plugin botaim, because podbot mm has it included in his source code. So when it's tryed to calculate 2 times the same for the crosshair position, it does weird things. I suggest to disable it in metamod's plugins.ini and try once more default settings with V3B19d.

Please let me know if after removing botaim plugin and with default settings in podbot.cfg, V3B19d version bots are really hard for You or You still had to do something with them.

@default settings, the podbot is fast enough for me, not always but the whole time ;)
