please help ASAP!
 

ok..this is my first bot program. i installed into the steam directory, then read the readme. i DID change the one file to read only. then i started a game (in steam) and i open console and typed in : IVP "addbot 1"
it says "Unknown COmmand" what is wrong? please, if u would give me some sort of step by step thing, im totally new to the whole bot thing

ok, what the hell? im getting mad. i did everything one topic said. here is what i did.
to start fresh. i uninstalled steam. then i re-installed. then i opened up CS and started a new game. then i disconnected (to get some MP file i guess?) then i installed ivpbot. i went into the one file and changed the line to gamedll "ivpbot\ivpbot.dll". then i started a new game and CS didnt do anything. so i clicked start new game again and it crashed. i DID change the one file to read-only. WTF is going on? please..PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have the folder of IvPBot in your cstrike folder?

thats all good, that topic and all, but when i extract the fiels to that destination, the next step is i should see a IVP folder and a libst or whatever its called. i see the lilbst but no IVP folder. if one of u guys wants to coly ur folder, it would help if u gave it to me that way =) because this just aint workin

thanks man for the folder, but what i meant was ur folder in steam. the folder after ur Email in the steam directory thingy. u sent me the ivpbot file i already had

i hate msn messanger. its cool if u dont wanna, but im just getting pissed because ive spent prolly 12 hours the last 3 days trying to get theses damned bots to work

Just want to make sure you installed it correctly so the ivpbot folder is exist in your cstrike folder. The game will crashes if your liblist.gam point to a dll which is not exist.

Use window's search to find the ivpbot folder. Cut it from wherever it is and paste it onto counter-strike\cstrike The installer wants to put it in half-life\cstrike which is fine and dandy for 1.5 but no longer applies in 1.6

dude that makes no sence - if you got steam you should have a cstrike folder..and if you open the bot folder you should see the ivp folder there to...

I now have IVPbot and AMX running on my CS1.6 listenserver.
Of course there's that new bots won't buy weapons problem but all else is working perfectly. I'm using metamod 1.17 amx 0.9.6j and ivpbot 1.1.1

You don't need to edit the liblist.gam file anymore even though ivpbot tries to when it installs. Add -dll ivpbot\ivpbot.dll to your icon's target or to your lauch properties in steam - games - counterstrike. Your path in the icon's target will look similar to this..
\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 10 -dll ivpbot\ivpbot.dll


IF and that's a BIG IF, you installed ivpbot to the right place, it will work.
