Very cool with the new update. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I followed the instructions and added several of the maps on my server rotation and the bots just stand there and the server window says no goals. It's like it doesn't see the new file.

The bots do not behave very well on some of these maps. I was wondering, what should I read in order to try improving their behavior? For example the Industry2 map has several problems. If I play the Axis team all default settings, I can watch my teammates do some pretty dumb things:

1. All go sit next to the FieldRadio and do nothing while the enemy fires on them, or blows them all up with a satchel charge. Meanwhile the tank is sitting at a barricade. The FieldRadio is not a very important objective this early in the game.

2. All go try to enter the Bunker even though the tank is still sitting at a barricade. They just climb the Bunker door until the FieldRadio is destroyed, then go fix it.

3. Crowd into the tiny hallways where the resupply room is at the corner of the building. Shouldn't there be a rule? Do not get within a certain distance of teammates unless healing. Otherwise it's easy pickings for panzerfaust.

First feedback is very important so the team thanks you. Second if you are reporting problems specific to a map please check to see if a thread exists for that map in the waypoint sub-forum. This waypoint map status wiki topic should have a link to that thread under the discussion column (if the thread exists). If no thread has been started by the waypointer (in this case 420Blunt who BTW did mlb_daybreak not I) for that map then create a new one. BTW There is a bug report form with common issues listed that you can use.

As to learning how to waypoint (or improve waypoints) there are currently 30 articles in the wiki most relating to waypointing. If you have not waypointed Fritzbot ET before I suggest you start with Fritzbot_ET_waypointing_tutorial which will lead you through Denny's tutorial for Fritzbot (RTCW) correcting for things that were changed between the 2 bot mods. The main topic will be your reference to commands and types of actions, and you should also cover The_Route_System to understand how bots navigate a map when not fighting.
Please understand Fritzbot ET can only support one version of a map's waypoints in official map paks so any improvements you think you have found should be shared with the original waypointer to evaluate. Thank you for you interest in improving this great mod.

I've overlooked the senario where a human player builds the field ops before the tank reaches the bunker door.

I've fixed this and attached for download.

Unzip the pk3 file to your fritzbot folder.

Hello,

i just install the pack in my fritzbot-folder (not the first time). But if i now load the map "venice" (single objektive or campaign with venice as first map), ET crash and i only see the Desktop. I try to delete all other packs (fritzSub_v1.00.pk3, Fritz1_1.00.pk3, ..), but it's the same. I install the keyword_fix too. Bevor, all works fine. Any ideas?

Waypoints, for example for Venice, exists in prevoius packs too. Sould i extract the packages and delete the old waypoints?

ET is version 2.60.

With venice and daybreak you need to unzip the keyword beta patch (found here) to your fritzbot folder.

EDIT: I see that you've installed the keyword fix, so I really don't know what the problem is then.

Is it crashing at the end of warmup?

I start the campaign with /campaign cmpgn_name, venice begins to start and in the next second, i see the Desktop. Same, if i load venice as map. Don't know whats wrong. Maybe i reinstall ET, or a complete new installation.

Doublecheck the filedates of your DLLs in your fritzbot directory, they should look like;

cgame_mp_x86.dll 16/07/2006 ...
qagame_mp_x86.dll 16/01/2007 7:56 pm
ui_mp_x86.dll 16/07/2006 ...

If qagame_mp_x86.dll has a different file date you are not likely running the keyword fix beta! The copy on my machine read with MD5 checker results in a MD5 checksum of 0504972C21424B7DDB684E0A39A44915.

Failing that try increasing your memory (com_hunkmegs)
+set com_hunkmegs 128

Also verify that you are running ET 2.60 or 2.60B.
